Granite Mountain

The Granite Mountain trail with its 3800-foot elevation gain offers a wide array of wildflowers, some appearing in every stage of development. This collection shows some of the flowers in bloom on July 17, 2003. Most of the woodland flowers were done blooming, but the alpine flowers were still prolific. (The trailhead is near I-90 Exit 47, the last exit before Snoqualmie Pass.)

Note: In order to get more photos on this web site in the least amount of time, there will be no flower information for the "Slide Show" collections other than flower size. The largest dimension of each flower is indicated after the family name. (For the Pathfinder the dimension of the flower-cluster is given.) Refer to the ruler on the home page.
